Ginger Spiced was founded during COVID19, as a chef on furlough I went from the busy everyday to doing nothing all day, I had to find something I was passionate about to put my mind and energy into.
My time at Westminster Kingsway College ignited my passion for pastry. As a student, I was captivated by its intricate details and the focus it demanded, a welcome contrast to the fast pace of the main kitchen. Many expected me to pursue pastry in my final year yet I chose the main kitchen, thriving on the challenge of exceeding expectations. I graduated with both an award and merit, placing me among the top 10 in my class. However, my love for pastry has remained a constant throughout my career, a form of therapy and a sweet escape from the whirlwind of London's hospitality scene.
I decided to start up Ginger Spiced again when I came to a career crossroads recently, if I wanted to do this and make it a success it was now or never! So here we are..a young chef making her dreams come true by making others cake dreams come true!
